Pregnancy calendar by week. An experienced doctor tells how a child develops in the womb and what changes occur in the pregnant woman’s body. All the most important things about the 34th week of pregnancy
Changes in your body (34th week of pregnancy):
During the 34th-35th week, your obstetrician-gynecologist will schedule a 6th visit, during which, as a standard, he should examine you, listen to the fetal heartbeat, measure body weight, temperature, blood pressure and pulse, and examine your legs. A general urine analysis should also be common for you.
Mostly during this term, the baby turns head down (the main presentation of the fetus), this position somewhat improves your balance, maybe even reduces the manifestations of heartburn or shortness of breath. However, you can notice that the bladder requires even more frequent visits to the toilet, and the blows of the child’s leg in the area of the liver are no less painful than before. However, let it please you that it is not for long.
In some cases, the child does not turn head down, do not worry, the doctor should explain what else can be done and what options are best in your case.
How does the baby grow?
The child continues to grow and develop intensively. Usually, the space of the uterus becomes more and more limited, and accordingly, the motor activity of the baby decreases significantly.
Despite the fact that the baby’s bones harden, the bones of the skull remain separated, this will allow the baby’s head to pass more easily through the birth canal. After birth, the head will become round again, and the bones of the skull will finally grow.
Thanks to the fact that antibodies pass through the placenta to the child, it already develops its own immune defense against common infections. The baby becomes strong and protected!
