If your child is often sick, you should work on strengthening his immunity. To do this, you need to follow a few simple rules.

We are reviewing the diet

First of all, you need to pay attention to the child’s diet – it should be varied and balanced. The fact is that the beneficial bacteria of the microbiota feed on various substances, and if the baby’s diet is meager, some types of bacteria will begin to die. In addition, only a varied diet will provide the child’s body with all the necessary vitamins and microelements, which will help to avoid frequent diseases.

Less sugar

This follows from the first point. Sugar, which is contained in sweets, pastries and other “harmful goodies”, leads not only to caries, but also to the growth of pathogenic microflora in the intestines, which greatly weakens immunity.

Less stress

It is not for nothing that there is a proverb “All diseases are caused by nerves”. This is true, because stress and nervous tension have a negative effect on the gastrointestinal tract, hence constipation, diarrhea, and indigestion. And, of course, with chronic stress, immunity suffers, especially weak children’s immunity, because the absorption of nutrients is disturbed. Another important rule is to never force-feed a child. But it is necessary to monitor the amount of liquid consumed (water, tea, compote, juice, but not sweet lemonades).

We follow the routine of the day

Another important rule on the way to strong immunity is to go to bed and wake up at about the same time. For example, if a child gets up early all week to go to kindergarten or school, and on the weekend sleeps in and accordingly goes to bed later than usual, all body systems will suffer from this.

We spend more time outdoors

From birth, walk with your baby as often as possible – preferably at least 4 hours a day. If it’s frosty or windy outside, reduce your walking time to 20-30 minutes, but then try to go out at least twice a day.

More traffic

An active lifestyle is the key to health and strong immunity. Teach your child to start the day with light exercise. In the summer, let the child run as much as possible on bare grass, sand and pebbles and even just on the floor in the apartment – all this has a positive effect on his immune system. The child will stop getting sick often.

We do not wrap the child

For some reason, many mothers sincerely believe that their child is constantly cold, so they wrap him in a warm blanket, dress him in several layers of clothes, but in fact overheating is quite dangerous. And, of course, if a child grows up in greenhouse conditions from childhood, his body will be weakened and will not be able to resist infections.

Taking immunostimulating supplements

From the age of three and in agreement with the pediatrician, the child can be given herbal immunostimulants (in the form of a dragee or syrup). Of course, you should not wait for a miracle that after taking the baby will never catch a cold. But if the above-mentioned rules are followed, the additional intake of immunostimulating drugs can have a good effect. Let’s repeat once again: in no case should you give any drugs to a child without first consulting a doctor!
