Pregnancy calendar: 30th week of pregnancy
Pregnancy calendar by week. An experienced doctor tells how a child develops in the womb and what changes occur in the pregnant woman’s body. All the most important things about the 30th week of pregnancy
Changes in your body during the 30th week of pregnancy:
Have you already noticed a certain instability or a tendency to slightly lose balance while walking? These are normal phenomena associated, firstly, with the increase of the uterus with the child, which changes your usual center of gravity, and secondly, hormones work in such a way that your ligaments become increasingly elastic, stretch, and the bones of the pelvis supposedly “diverge “, this is necessary so that during childbirth the baby has more space and it is more convenient to pass through the birth canal to the outside. Take care of comfortable shoes with low, non-slip soles, consider that most likely, you now need looser shoes, and maybe a size bigger. Go slower, enjoy the walk.
You should have a scheduled visit to the obstetrician-gynecologist for women’s consultation at 30 weeks of pregnancy. During this 5th visit, the doctor should ask about your well-being, did something bother you, or maybe it hurt? Also, the doctor should comment on the results of the tests, if, for example, a general blood test (blood from a finger) shows a low level of hemoglobin in the blood, then it is worth emphasizing the consumption of foods containing iron (spinach, pomegranate, red meat), or when there is a need to prescribe iron preparations. A general urinalysis is also important, because it is necessary to carefully check whether there is protein in the urine. The appearance of protein and high blood pressure (for example, more than 140/90 mmHg) are phenomena that can be a sign of preeclampsia in pregnant women. Preeclampsia is a serious condition that requires medical attention and special attention.
The doctor will probably suggest that you write down your feelings more carefully in a pregnant woman’s diary , this simple proven method of self-observation will sometimes give you hints when you should seek help. Also, the doctor can teach you to recognize “practice” Braxton-Hicks contractions from real contractions, when you should go to the hospital. Also, since the time, albeit very slowly, is approaching the date of delivery, you should get to know the chosen medical institution and the obstetrician-gynecologist who will receive the delivery. Also, gradually collect a “hot bag”, where there will be the most necessary things for childbirth.
How does the baby grow?
The baby is actively growing, its bone marrow produces erythrocytes (red blood cells that ensure the transfer of oxygen through capillaries to every cell of the body, cells “breathe” oxygen). The need for iron can manifest itself in a change in the taste of a pregnant woman, sometimes women want to eat something strange. In fact, you should always remember that pregnancy is first of all a need for healthy products rich in various vitamins or minerals, and not an empty push for two “empty” calories. Eat fresh green, colorful and fragrant!
A child’s growing bones need calcium and phosphorus, which can be easily obtained by consuming milk, cheese and lactic acid products, and fish. Calcium is also found in sesame seeds, almonds, figs, and even orange juice. Remember that you also need calcium! After all, no one wants to go to the dentist more often!
The child’s body gradually begins to control its own temperature. And an increase in the subcutaneous fat layer will later help maintain a constant body temperature of the baby. The baby is more and more ready for life outside!
