Changes in your body:

Since your uterus, in which the baby is developing, increases in size, so to usual problems with digestion – namely: not accepting certain food, nausea or even vomiting – heartburn and constipation can also be added. So, all the previous tips: eating small portions more often, drinking enough water, avoiding fried and spicy food – remain relevant.

Heartburn is caused by the fact that, under the influence of hormones, the muscles of the stomach relax, and the contents enter the esophagus . I advise you to understand what helps you. It can be a glass of warm water, almonds or flax seeds. Sometimes an upright position helps – to eat while standing. Learn which food makes you worse and then try to avoid it. There are also medicines for heartburn that do not harm the child in the womb.

Constipation is when defecation (feces) is delayed for more than one day. Slowing down of digestion processes is typical for pregnant women, but it is worth trying to prevent constipation. After all, faecal retention is excess unnecessary processed waste products and toxins. Also, constipation can provoke such an unpleasant disease as hemorrhoids. Constipation is facilitated by highly processed food without fiber, for example: dumplings with potatoes and sour cream, as opposed to a salad with carrots, beets, prunes and raisins. You can additionally take fiber purchased at a pharmacy before meals, drinking it down with a glass of water. Water half an hour before meals helps a lot with constipation. There are also drugs that are not harmful during pregnancy, for example; lactulose preparations, prebiotics and probiotics. Sauerkraut, cucumbers, yogurt and kefir are natural prebiotics (a nutrient medium for good bacteria) with probiotics (good bacteria).

It is worth planning the first visit to the obstetrician-gynecologist for women’s consultation. Write down a list of questions for the doctor: what are you interested in knowing, what worries you, how can you help yourself with the inconveniences of pregnancy, what are you worried about?

How does the baby grow?

The profile of the child’s face is still distinguished by a small jaw, but it is already a person. The face has glasses covered by eyelids, ears, and a nose. Since the skin is transparent, we can see large blood vessels. The heart has valves, so during an ultrasound examination, we can hear a fast rhythmic heartbeat, reminiscent of a gallop. Some bones, teeth, vertebrae are formed.
The baby’s muscles and motor reflexes are developing. The child moves: stretches and digs, bends arms and legs. However, it is not yet noticeable to you.
